Visit from Hyundai Steel
After nine years of excellent cooperation, we welcomed our Korean partners from Hyundai Steel for the first time in Kopřivnice. Vice President Mr. Jung Ho Lee visited TAWESCO just a few weeks after signing a memorandum of cooperation in the production of so-called "green steel". The world-famous steelworks has chosen TAWESCO as the first and so far only customer of this steel in Europe!
The visit was welcomed by the TAWESCO and Promet Group teams. Representatives of Hyundai Steel were given a ride on the polygon in the Tatra racing car of the Dakar racer Tomáš Tomeček and also toured the production halls. It is here that we will be testing green steel from September onwards, the first tons of which have already been produced by the Korean plant.
